The Pixie’s Pen Pals program rescues dogs from local Richmond shelters and places them in correctional facilities, where they receive training from incarcerated individuals under the guidance of a professional dog trainer. After passing the K9 Good Citizen test, these dogs are ready to find their forever homes. This program benefits shelters, the incarcerated individuals, future families, and, of course, the dogs!
